News feeds (or RSS feeds) are a web-based method of distributing regularly updated content such as news stories. Using an RSS reader (or aggregator), users can view headlines, story text, and links without having to visit the source website with their browser.
Many RSS readers are available free for download on the web. The newest versions of web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox can also aggregate content.
