OVERVIEW

The expected outcome of the revised Project is an efficient, climate resilient, reliable and sustainable supply of potable water to all consumers within the Water Area-1 (WA-1) network. WA-1 is the most important water system in Dominica, encompassing the Capital City of Roseau and the country’s main health care, residential, commercial and industrial centres. Works under the project include a new intake on Check Hall River; the construction of diversion dam upstream of the existing Springfield Intake; network transmission and distribution system upgrade; construction of new reinforced concrete distribution tanks; and a leakage detection and repair programme.
