Overview

The Government of Grenada (GOGR) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent to US$11.0 million towards the cost of the Integrated Solid Waste Management Project and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under contracts procured under this project.  Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of GOGR and upon approval by CDB, and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement.  The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.  No party other than GOGR shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.

Eligiblity

Consultants, contractors and suppliers from member countries of CDB will be eligible to participate in these procurement opportunities.

Instructions

The following consultancy services assignments will be procured under the Project:

  1. Revision of the National Waste Management Strategy;
  2. Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority (GSWMA) Strengthening and Capacity Building;
  3. Commercial Composting Study;
  4. Public Awareness and Education Programme;
  5. Engineering Services;
  6. Monitoring and Evaluation; and
  7. Project Coordinator.

The following goods and works will be procured under the Project:

  1. Cell Development at Perseverance Landfill;
  2. Closure of the existing “Old Dumpsite” at Perseverance
  3. Closure of Original Perseverance Landfill Cells;
  4. Sanitary Facilities;
  5. Landfill Workshop Equipment;
  6. Trucks for SWM Operations; and
  7. Pick-up Trucks.

It is expected that these goods, works and services will be procured during the period March 2015 to September 2016.
