Brazil-hosted Panel Discussion: Innovative Financing Mechanisms to Fight Hunger and Poverty and the Road to Seville (IV FfD4)

This panel aims to serve as a preparatory event for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), to be held in Seville, Spain, in July 2025. It will highlight experiences and solutions from Latin America and the Caribbean in combating hunger and poverty, with a special focus on mobilizing innovative financial mechanisms that enable effective and scalable national policies.

Key discussion topics include:

  • Structural inequalities and the impact of food insecurity on vulnerable groups;
  • The importance of aligning social, climate, and food policies for a just and sustainable transition;
  • Opportunities to strengthen and finance these policies through more coordinated international cooperation and innovative financial instruments; and
  • The role of the region as a laboratory for social and financial innovation within the context of the Global Alliance.
