CDB Appoints Experienced Finance Leader Gillian Charles- Gollop as Vice President, Corporate Services
The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB, the Bank) has appointed finance executive Mrs. Gillian Charles-Gollop as Vice President, Corporate Services, effective May 1, 2026.
With more than three decades in banking and financial services, Mrs. Charles‑Gollop brings deep expertise and a strong track record of delivering positive client outcomes, strengthened governance, effective people leadership, and sustainable finance impact. Her leadership reflects innovation and disciplined execution, reinforcing CDB’s focus on operational excellence and sound financial stewardship. Her professional experience spans corporate and investment banking, governance, strategic planning, and credit and operational risk management.
Most recently, Mrs. Charles-Gollop served as Executive Director, Corporate Banking and Sustainable Finance at CIBC Caribbean, where she provided regional leadership and strategic oversight of a corporate and sovereign client credit portfolio exceeding US$6 billion and advanced the bank’s regional sustainable finance agenda. Her career includes leading complex financing, mergers and acquisitions advisory mandates, capital markets and debt conversion transactions, and the financing of major infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, and telecommunications projects across the Caribbean.
A Saint Lucian national, Mrs. Charles-Gollop is widely recognised for her leadership and professional excellence, earning multiple awards and commendations for achievements in risk management, operational performance, and client service during her tenure. She holds an MBA (Finance) from the University of Leicester and is an Associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. Her experience is complemented by formal governance accreditation through the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and specialist certification in sustainability and climate risk from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. She is also a certified change management practitioner and a graduate of CIBC Caribbean’s Senior Leadership Program.

A passionate advocate for sustainability and resilience in financial systems, she will help advance CDB’s mission to accelerate inclusive growth and development throughout the Caribbean.
