August 7, 2008No. 20/08 - G NEWS RELEASE CDB TO HOST INTERNATIONAL HR MEETING Delegates representing sixteen (16) international financial institutions will be coming to Barbados next month for a meeting to be hosted by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB). The meeting, to be held September 3-5 at CDB's Conference Centre, is the Twelfth Annual Meeting of International Financial Institutions Compensation and Human Resources Specialists. Approximately 25 overseas delegates are scheduled to join their CDB counterparts for the meeting. Representatives are expected from the African Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Bank for International Settlements, the Black Sea Trade Development Bank, the Council of Europe Development Bank, the European Central Bank, the European Investment Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the International Finance Corporation, the Islamic Development Bank, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the World Bank and the World Trade Organisation. CDB's Vice-President (Finance), Mr. Neville Grainger, will give the Official Welcome and Opening Address, while Chief Executive Officer of One Caribbean Media, Dr. Terrence Farrell, will give the Keynote Address at the September 3 opening ceremony.
