On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, the Bank is partnering with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency to officially handover personal protective equipment (PPE) to Barbados' Department of Emergency Management.

The PPE being handed over is part of a US$3 million programme to provide essential PPE for 14 countries. Under this programme, the Government of Barbados is receiving approximately 14,000 sets of protective gloves, 9,000 masks, 6,000 gowns, 4,000 googles, 2,000 protective coveralls.
