CDB hosts DENA exhibition on renewable energy

Today, Thursday, November 13, 2014, German Ambassador to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), H.E. Dr. Lutz H. Goergens and President of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), Dr. Warren Smith officially launched the 2013/2014 edition of a Poster Exhibition about renewable energy created by the German Energy Agency, DENA. CDB's Wildey, Barbados headquarters is the venue for the exhibition, entitled "Renewables - Made in Germany" which runs from November 13 - 21, 2014. The display, which coincides with Caribbean Energy Week, presents information about renewable energy technologies which can be applied in countries with high renewable energy potential as in the case of the Caribbean Region. The launch followed the Opening Ceremony of the Fourth Caribbean Sustainable Energy Forum (CSEF IV). The Forum is taking place on the CDB campus on November 13 and 14, 2014. The exhibition is open to the public Monday - Friday, November 13 - 21, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Students, professionals and the general public are invited to visit the Poster Exhibition to learn more about renewable energy technologies.
