Regional Disability Policy Brief
Summary

This regional policy brief summarises strategic priority areas for support in the short-, medium- and long-term and addresses the challenges of persons with disabilities in four Borrowing Member Countries (BMCs) of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), namely Grenada, Jamaica, Saint
Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago., The policy brief aims to support their human rights specified under the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and other global commitments to human rights (such as Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Violence Against Women (CEDAW) and the Convention for the Rights of Children (CRC), gender equality and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The four countries were selected because they represent a spectrum of CDB’s 19 BMCs.
