Future Leaders Network

The Caribbean Development Bank’s Future Leaders Network (FLN) brings together emerging leaders, aged 18 to 35, from across CDB’s Borrowing Member Countries.

The FLN gives young people a space to share ideas, influence development priorities and help shape solutions to the challenges facing the Caribbean. Members bring diverse experiences, skills and perspectives from their countries and communities.

Through the Network, members:

advise CDB on policies, projects and programmes;
advocate for youth priorities;
connect CDB with young people across the Region; and
develop innovative solutions;

FLN members also benefit from leadership development, mentorship, knowledge sharing and opportunities to participate in regional and international events.

The FLN is helping to ensure that young people are not only part of the conversation—they are helping to lead it.

Youth FIRE Forum

A major area of FLN participation is the Youth for Innovation and Resilience Forum, known as the Youth FIRE Forum.

The Forum provides a regional platform for young people, policymakers, development practitioners, private sector representatives and other partners to exchange ideas and develop practical recommendations on issues affecting Caribbean youth.

FLN members contribute to the conceptualisation, planning and facilitation of the Forum, including identifying priority themes, supporting consultations, proposing speakers and participants, facilitating discussions and helping to communicate the resulting recommendations.

During the Caribbean Development Bank’s 56th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors, FLN members presented the Youth FIRE Forum 2026 Outcome Statement, Call to Action, and Youth Outcome Concept Paper. Read the document here.
