The Caribbean Development Bank's President, M. Daniel M. Best will share the Bank's perspective on the topic, “Sustainability, Efficiency and Equity: Can We Have It All? A Question for 21st Century Regulators,” at the Fair Trading Commission of Barbados' 16th Annual Lecture Fireside Chat on Monday, March 31, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
This year’s lecture will explore how modern regulatory frameworks can balance economic growth, fairness, and long-term sustainability in an increasingly complex global economy.

The Fireside Chat follows the keynote address, which will be delivered by Dr. Andrew Downes, Professor Emeritus of Economics at The University of the West Indies.
