CDB TO HOST PROCUREMENT WORKSHOP IN DOMINICA

From September 20-21, 2012, the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) will host a workshop to launch the Bank's revised procurement guidelines for Consultants in the Commonwealth of Dominica. Mrs. Rosamund Edwards, Financial Secretary, will give the opening remarks on behalf of the Government of Dominica. Approximately 30 public sector staff members involved in implementation of projects undertaken by the Dominica Government are expected to participate. Mr. Norman Cameron, Head of Procurement at CDB, will conduct the workshop, which will be held at the Fort Young Hotel, Roseau. The workshop is scheduled to begin at 9.00 a.m. on September 20. This will be the sixth such workshop organised by the Bank to launch the "Guidelines for the Selection and Engagement of Consultants by Recipients of CDB Financing" (October 2011). Similar workshops have already been held in St. Lucia, Belize, Jamaica, Grenada and the Cayman Islands.
