Caribbean Development Bank Launches BRIDGE to Strengthen Vendor Engagement and Private Sector Partnerships
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, July 10, 2026: The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB / the Bank) has launched BRIDGE, a modern, data-driven vendor registry platform designed to enhance procurement operations, advance digitalisation, and strengthen engagement with the private sector.
The new platform represents a significant milestone in how CDB connects with key partners—including consultants, contractors, suppliers, and service providers—whose expertise and services are critical to delivering the Bank's development mandate.
"BRIDGE will strengthen how the Bank connects with private sector expertise across the region and beyond," said Dr. Isaac Solomon, Vice President of Operations at CDB. "The platform provides a more dynamic view of available capabilities, helping identify the right partners to support Borrowing Member Countries in delivering high-quality development outcomes."
BRIDGE replaces CDB's former Register of Consultants (ROCS) and expands its scope beyond consultants to include a broader range of vendors, including suppliers, contractors, consulting firms, individual consultants and service providers. BRIDGE provides a single, user-friendly platform where individuals and firms can create and manage profiles that showcase their qualifications, areas of expertise, project experience, and supporting credentials.
The platform is integrated with CDB's Procurement Publication Registry Database (PPRD), a new internal system that captures and publishes procurement plans, procurement opportunities and contract award information for CDB-financed projects, including specialised programmes such as the Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF), as well as the Bank's corporate procurement activities.
"The BRIDGE platform makes it easier for firms and professionals to maintain up-to-date profiles and identify procurement opportunities aligned with their expertise. It also streamlines administrative processes, supports more timely engagement, and helps the Bank connect with qualified partners more effectively," said Mrs. Naomi Akoy-Bouguenon, Acting Division Chief, Procurement Policy Division at CDB.
Through BRIDGE, registered users can:
-
Receive notifications about procurement opportunities relevant to their expertise and interests
-
Track and save opportunities of interest
-
Access current procurement notices from CDB corporate and CDB-financed projects
Over time, BRIDGE will support the Bank in building a centalised database of private sector partners, strengthening market intelligence, due diligence capabilities, and strategic outreach efforts. These enhanced capabilities will support more effective procurement processes and help CDB deliver greater development impact across its Borrowing Member Countries.
It is important to note that BRIDGE does not serve as an electronic procurement system. Submissions for bids, proposals, or expressions of interest will continue to follow the processes outlined in individual procurement notices.
