The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) received a letter of request from the Government of Grenada (GOGR) on January 17, 2017 for funding support for a Project Coordinator for a Geothermal Energy Project Management Unit (GPMU) being established in the Energy Division of the Ministry of Finance and Energy (MOFE). Subsequently the request was expanded to include the services of a Consultant Community Liaison Officer (CLO).

The beneficiary is GOGR and the Implementing Agency for this technical assistance (TA) project will be MOFE.

The total cost of the project is estimated at two hundred and seventy-two thousand, five hundred United States dollars (USD272,500), to be financed by a CDB Grant, not exceeding two hundred and thirtyone thousand, six hundred and thirty United States dollars (USD231,630) or 85% of the total cost, with counterpart financing provided by GOGR.
