Procurement Notice

The Government of Belize (GOBZ) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent EUR115,595, to assist in financing the enhancement of the national quality infrastructure in Belize.  Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of GOBZ and upon approval by CDB and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement.  The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.  No party other than GOBZ shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.

The following consultancy assignments will be procured under the project:

1. Consultancy Services-Design and deliver modules for trainer the trainers, stakeholders of Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS) and BBS staff to audit and implement ISO 9001:2015 based quality management systems.
2. Consultancy Services- Design and deliver a capacity development module for stakeholders of BBS and BBS staff to audit and implement ISO/IEC 17025:2017 based quality management systems

It is expected that these will be procured during the period: October 2021 to August 2022.

The following goods and/or works and/or non-consultancy services will be procured under the project:

1. Goods - Purchasing and delivery of equipment
2. Non-consulting Services - Calibration services

It is expected that these will be procured during the period: October 2021 to August 2022.
