Overview

The Toledo Cacao Growers Association (TCGA) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent USD515,727 to provide support to its members in the Toledo district in improving productivity, quality, and value addition of cacao production.  Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of TCGA and upon approval by CDB and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement.  The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.  No party other than TCGA shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.

The following consultancy assignments will be procured under the project:

  1. Consultancy Services­ – to Design, Prepare Detailed Cost Estimates, Bill of Quantities and Supervise Construction of a Cacao Processing Facility.
  2. Consultancy Services – to Develop a Website and Social Media Presence for the TCGA.

It is expected that these will be procured during the period: September 2021–September 2023.

Eligibility

Consultants and/or Contractors and/or Suppliers from member countries of CDB will be eligible to participate in these procurement opportunities.  For Goods and Services procured with funds from the project, the eligibility for procurement shall be extended to countries eligible for procurement under EU-funded projects, which are not CDB Member Countries.

 

 

 

Instructions

The following goods and/or works and/or non-consultancy services will be procured under the project:

  1. Supply of ICT equipment for online marketing and processing facility
  2. Supply and installation of equipment for cacao processing facility
  3. Construction of 3,000 square foot cacao processing facility
  4. Supply and install high speed internet at TCGA Maya House office
  5. Supply of 9 brush cutters (bush whackers), nursery equipment (shovels, water pipes and bagging material

It is expected that these will be procured during the period: September 2021–January 2022.
